Is it just me or does the news, online and offline, seem to lag behind the times by a lot? I keep seeing articles for stuff that’s like “duh, we knew that a year ago”. Something like Microsoft gives up on the Kin, eyes Windows Phone 7 seems like a no-brainer just by seeing their cheesy commercials. There are other examples but I’m writing this at 4am and don’t feel like lurking around for an example of a pathetic news story, hence the first thing I see on CNN.
Also, what’s with all the bad news? It certainly fits into a conspiracy theory of keeping the citizens in fear. When is the last time you heard a news story that didn’t involve murder, theft, war, assault, or any other number of depressing issues. Hell, Jon Stewart should just take over Fox News… Comedian for president! Oh wait, our president is an actor, my bad.
On another note I think North Dakota has turned into the Congo, no seriously. The weather is making my head spin from allergies and I can’t believe I’m writing this at 3am. I must really have no life if I’m posting a blog about the modern news influence on pathetic society. No offense to you guys but citizens seem weak today compared to soldiers of the colonial times or even fricken 50 years ago. We have become a nation of pushovers which is why people (you know who you are) think they can overtake America with no problem. Yes I am enacting my freedom-of-speech right. So take that George Washington!
Today I have officially released Modern Wasteland. Yes, it is pretty basic as far as graphics, but it is a very professional looking theme. It matches my news category icons pretty well and it has a foreign look about it…maybe because it was based off a foreign theme…
